Usually a person who likes to vilify other people's religion, his knowledge of his own religion is very low
So how he wants to criticize other people's religion, his own religion is not clear. Study your own religion first, later if you feel that you have memorized your scriptures and have carried out all the commands of your God, I believe, you will not denigrate other people's religion anymore.
Christian means to be a "Follower of Jesus", a true Christian is different from one who claims to be Christian (as religion)
Religion is made by man, while "Follower of Christ" means that the person is directly chosen by God to be His follower. About the process of how a person is chosen by God, no one knows how.
Each person has a different experience, some meet God in their room, some meet God in Devotional or Revival, some meet God in church, some even meet God in the bathroom.
Just after having an encounter with God personally, usually the person will experience a change in his life. The change can take place slowly, it can also take place instantly.
For example, a person who used to be a person who was lazy to go to church and read the Bible, after being touched by God, that person became the most diligent person to go to church and read the Bible.
God is a Person, He really wants to be close to His children, yes, but what can you do, His children prefer the world, because all the desires of the flesh exist in the world. That's why there is a verse that says:
Galatia 5:16
"Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."
There are various kinds of Christians with various levels of Christianity, there are descendants of Christians, there are Christian IDs, there are Christians because they are married, there are Christians because they are often given food, drink and money, there are Christians because they are not satisfied with their old religion, there are false Christians, there are Christians who are selfishly spiritual, there are real Christians.
About what Christian we are, only we and God know, because humans have many masks on their faces, so that other people judge humans from the outside only. We often hear of someone who used to love Jesus very much .... but because of his love with a piece of flesh that would be eaten by worms, he was willing to betray his Lord.
There are Christians, who used to act like thugs, uhh, now they are evangelists in the countryside/ inland, serving isolated tribes/ outcasts.
There are people who often boast, saying that they have served God for dozens, even decades, but if we ask has, he ever talked to God, he will look at us as if we are crazy people.
There are people who have never wanted to go to church, read the Bible, let alone take part in Bible study, uhh, are now become the closest people to God. He often delivered God's messages that He received directly.
Now, let us each introspect ourselves. To find out which Christians we are, you and I can see from the way we relate to God. Our God is not a dead God. Our God is a living God, because our God lives and can speak, so to classify whether we are Christians who are followers of Christ or not, it can be seen from our relationship with the Creator.
This is what the Bible says is a "secret that was kept through the ages". God has bestowed His HolySpirit upon us, only we "Christians", can have direct contact with God, because God Himself lives in us.
"God is Spirit", so what can relate to God is our spirit. When we first experienced an encounter with God, we were given a new Spirit so that with this new spirit, we could contact directly to God.
