Does Every Christian Enter Heaven?
1 Peter 4:18 - NT
In the Bible it says,
"If even good people are hard to save, what will happen to sinners who don't know God!"
Mark 13:20
"And if the Lord had not shortened the days, then none of the living would be saved; but because of the Chosen whom He had elected, God shortened the days"
There are two opinions about salvation among Christian churches in the world today.
1. Say that every Christian goes to heaven
A person who has chosen Jesus as his Lord and Savior will not go to hell even if he or she has committed many crimes.
Those who adhere to this theory draw verses from the Bible that say:
Mark 16:16
"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but who does not believe will be punished"
Romans 10: 9
"For if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"
Romans 10:10
"For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved"
Ephesians 2:28
"For by grace you were saved by faith; it was not the result of your labor, but the gift of God"
2. The second opinion says that not every Christian goes to heaven.
A person who accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior and is then baptized is the first step to receiving salvation, but that person must obey Jesus before he will receive salvation.
This opinion is based on a Bible verse which says:
Matthew 22:14
"For many are called, but few are chosen."
Mark 13:27
"And at that time also He will send His angels and will gather His Chosen one from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven"
Hebrews 5: 9
"and after He had reached His perfection, He became the subject of everlasting salvation to all who obey Him"
Brothers and sisters, only God knows who will survive who will not. Before the world was made, there was a book called "The Book of Life", in the book written the names of people who would survive later.
God wants all humans to go to heaven, but God does not want to make human robots. He gave "free will" to humans. Do humans want to obey HIM or humans do not want to be ordered by HIS God. And what is the choice of man will be respected by God.
Therefore Moses, who wanted to save the Israelites from God's wrath, said in the book of Exodus:
Exodus 32:32
"But now, may You forgive their sins - and if not, may you erase my name from the book that You have written."
Exodus 32:32 (Daily Bible)
"May they forgive their sins; otherwise, erase my name from the books of the living."
So, humans who are not named in the Book of Life are people who will not go to heaven, and will definitely go to hell.
The question now is which one do we believe whether salvation is valid forever, as long as we acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior, acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God and the Son of Man?
If indeed salvation applies to every Christian why does God reject these people, as written in Matthew 7: 21-23
Not everyone who cries out to Me: Lord, Lord! Will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven"
"On the last day many people will cry out to me: Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and performed many miracles in your name too?"
"At that time, I will come face to face with them and say: I never knew you! Get away from me, you evil makers!"
You know, it's strange, these people do many things for God, and I believe that God also allows these people to use HIS names to heal the sick, cast out demons and so on, but why were these people rejected?
If people who have done many things for the Kingdom of Heaven are rejected, what about the fate of common Christians?
Isn't it written in Matthew 7:17 and 20:
"In the same way every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit"
"So, you will know them by their fruit"
How the heck, these people already looks fruitful? Could it be that they heal the sick and cast out demons with the power of Satan, aren't they all using the name of Jesus, therefore they say, "Lord, aren't we ... in your (Jesus) name "
If a person who has done a lot of good by using the name of God is discarded, what about the average Christian who is mediocre?
Well, then does every Christian go to heaven?
If they enter the heaven, why does our Lord say:
"The many are called the little the Chosen"
Who is the person called ..............?
Who is the Chosen One .............?
Who enters Heaven?
Want to know what is certain to enter heaven:
This is the key verse of
Matthew 7:21
"Not everyone who cries out to Me: Lord, Lord! Will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven"
It's clear, uhmm, where is the will of the Father? Well, it's terrible .... The will of the Father is primarily in the Bible. So, if we do God's will as in the Bible, we will definitely go to heaven.
Second, we must be able to hear God's voice, and do His commands in daily life, as I wrote in the article "Are You a Follower of Jesus" God himself said that, "His sheep know His voice", so if you haven't heard God's voice look for God until you find it, you can read in the article "How to Hear God's Voice".
Apart from the Bible, God speaks personally to us, His followers. Now, if we are good followers, we must obey His leadership in our daily lives.
The problem is that many Christians do not know God personally yet, they only know God through the Bible or stories from people, or from books they read, or just become Christians because of their descent. You too must be a servant of God.
So being a follower of Jesus has stages:
1. Believe
2. Receiving Baptism
3. Doing God's Will
4. Obey until death
Jesus loves you and whole your family
