What is the meaning of "Follower of Jesus", how to become a follower of Jesus?

A follower of Jesus is not a person who claims to be Christian as religion. A follower of Jesus is someone who knows and is known to Jesus personally. God reveals Himself to that person, and that person will know His Lord properly.

And do you know, if you haven't met God personally, then you can't be called as "Follower of Christ".

This is a true story, there is a pastor who has served God for 40 years, even in his ministry he may have acted as a pastor. He served a church, and did all the things a pastor should do, and as long as he served as a pastor, it turned out that he didn't know God personally.

He only experienced acquaintance with God after he retired from being a pastor. He has served God for 40 years, and during those 40 years, he did not know God..... This story is not a hoax, you can meet the pastor.

Now he is serving and opening a "prayer school" in Jakarta, which has created many strong "intercessors", and not only that, he even serves as far as Irian Jaya. God used him mightily after he retired.

In his testimony he said, he had served God for 40 years, but he did not know the God he served.

Then …. who was he serving for those 40 years???

Maybe we have been “Christians” for a long time, maybe even since we were born, we have been baptized (traditional churches allow infant baptism), or have been submitted to God through our respective churches (Pentecostal and Charismatic churches).

Then every week we are brought to church to attend "Sunday School", this is done from childhood to adolescence. Growing up we are active in church activities, maybe at home there are household services that we participate in, and we are also diligent in praying and reading the Bible.

As we grew up, we took courses in Bible study, Catechism, School of Ministry, and started to join the ministry in the church. Some join the choir, become teachers at Sunday School, become a church administrator and so on.

In our hearts we feel we are "spiritual people", which is different from "people of the world" whose behavior and activities are not clear. We are "spiritual people" who love God, and if we sin, only small sins, we believe "will be forgiven".

We often judge people by saying, "ordinary people of the world, does not understand spiritual things". We feel that we are "children of God". Until one day we gasped to hear someone ask us:

"You know, yesterday I was reprimanded by God, because lately I rarely read the Bible"

Then the person asks back, "Do you often talk to God?", hearing this question we may say to ourselves,

"Are your crazy man, God can talk? maybe this person needs release of evil spirit, God can talk?!".

Can God speak????? Actually, the unclear status of being a Christian is us or the person who spoke earlier. Jesus said in

 John 10:14

I am the good shepherd. Just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father, so do I know My sheep and they know Me too. I gave My life for them.

then continued by saying in

John 10:27 (KJV)

“My sheep hear My voice. I know them, and they follow Me".

So, it's clear… is it clear?? if you haven't read it again until it's clear.

Can you really say God is mute? "God" can speak, my friend, even He longs for us to chat with Him all the time.

So now it’s clear ok? don't like to mock people "..ordinary people of the world..". What people are we ourselves? "spiritual people who are not clear" or "imaginary spiritual"

Claiming to be a follower of Christ but never talk to his God, what have you been doing all this time. Think about it, are there soldiers who never talk to their boss, and they Only understand the Boss from the rule book that was issued. Is there an army like that?

Friend, "Seek God as long as He is pleased to be found", God is never far from us, but we are far from Him. Do you know what God said about those people?

Friend, our God is Almighty God, "Everything was created by HIM, and for HIM"
