Hearing The God's Voice (1)

hearing-the-god's-voice-1
In my writing entitled “Are You a Follower of Jesus” it is written that being a Christian does not mean being a follower of Jesus. To be able to be called a follower of Jesus, one must be able to hear God's voice, because Jesus Himself said in

John 10:27 (KJV)

“My sheep hear My voice. I know them, and they follow Me."

The problem now is how to hear God's voice? Can God really speak?

Requirements to be able to hear God's

voice are:

1. We do have a desire to know God personally.

We have to check our hearts, whether we really have a desire to know God personally or just to get his blessings. Many people seek God with the aim of getting blessings from God, not to know God personally.

Now I ask you, if someone wants to get acquainted with you, but the goal is only to ask your help, and if you grant that person's request then the next day that person will come again to your house, with the aim of asking you for other help. Maybe you can be patient for up to 5-10 requests, after which you will kick the person out of your house.

Well, that's how God feels, if we come to Him just to ask Him for blessings, we don't want to get acquainted with Him. God knows our hearts, it is permissible for our mouths to tell God that we want to hear His voice, want to get acquainted with Him, but God judge’s people's hearts. What's greater, God remains patient with us, and continues to give His blessings to us.

Okay, let's say we have a clean and pure heart before God, then the next step is

2. Take a sheet of paper and a pen.

You start praying to God and you tell Him how much you long to meet Him, and you ask God to tell you about your sins.

Begin by praising Him, and praying with all your heart. And don't forget, you have to do it in a closed room or alone, don't do it in a market or supermarket.

If you do it with all your heart, surely God will tell your sins. How? by reminding you of the sins you have committed. Just write down the sins one by one.

Remember! Don't just provide a sheet of paper, it's already a sheet, just a notepaper… That is, the name is too stingy.

3. Ask forgiveness for these sins.

After you write down the sins that God reminds you of, start asking God to forgive you for these sins, for example: in your note it is written:

- Have bitterness to your family or friends

So, pray for forgiveness to God, because so far you have not been able to forgive the family or friend, and ask God to enable you to forgive the family or friend.

You ask for forgiveness for all the sins that you have written on the paper. Maybe you say, you know, my sins have been forgiven when I ask for forgiveness of sins.

Yes, your sins have been forgiven, but which sins are forgiven do you know or not? How can we say we are forgiven, if bitterness is still in our life while we haven't forgiven others?

4. Ask God to be the King of your life.

After you ask God for forgiveness of sins, ask God to be your Lord, surrender your whole body, soul and spirit to him, as well as all your desires, worries, and other things in your life.

Tell God how grateful you are that He was willing to sacrifice His life for you. Give all your belongings, your family into His hands. Now, you are the poorest person in the world, because everything has been submitted to God.

5. Begin to spend time together with God.

You can choose the best time with God according to yourself. Some are happy in the morning, some are happy during the day, and some are happy with the night.

Now, if you want to talk to God, this is the time. Open your meeting with prayer, invite Him to attend, and after praying you begin to study His Word. God loves to teach people when you learn His Word. Ask God what is meant by His Word.

6. Talk to Him all day long.

Most people never want to talk to God, unless they are in a state of prayer. I don't know which heresy got into these people, so that he thought that God could only hear when he is praying.

God is not deaf friend, start your day when you wake up saying "good morning, Lord", and throughout the day keep the Lord talking with. In the beginning, because you are not used to hearing God's voice, you may not be able to hear God's voice yet, that is normal.

This can be explained in this way, "If a friend or your family calls, and you happen to receive it, why do you immediately know that it is the voice of your friend or family?".

You will answer, I memorized their voices, because I often chatted with them. Likewise, with God, if you often chat with Him, then you recognize His voice.

God's voice is so gentle, it is in our hearts. If His voice is very gentle, it doesn't mean that if it is noisy around you then you can't hear His voice. No, brother/ sister, you can still hear His voice.

Start relying on God in everything, even when choosing clothes, ask Him… "Lord, which clothes I wear?".

When you start doing something, have a dialogue with God, ask Him which way is the best to do the job.

What I mean by talking to God, is not that you speak with a voice through your mouth, you just speak with him in your heart. Got what I mean? Don't worry, even if you speak to yourself in your heart, God hears you.

Well, try the method above, don't just try once and giving up. Remember, God looks into the heart!!! .... If it doesn't work contact me by e-mail, I'll help you and ask God why you were ignored.

Jesus loves you and your whole family
