DO I LOVE YOU LORD ?

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me

John 10 : 27

God, teach me to be able to hear Your Holy Spirit, whom You have sent to accompany me in this world. You said The Holy Spirit will teach me all the truth and He will tell me what He receives from you.

Lord, I often mishears the voices in my heart. I thought it’s the voice of The Holy Spirit, but it’s the voice of my heart. Teach me to distinguish which is the voice of The Holy Spirit, the voice of my heart, and even the voice of the devil.

I realize to be able to hear the voice of The Holy Spirit more sensitively, I must read Your Word more often, because when I study Your Word, The Holy Spirit will be my teacher. The bible even says, I don’t need to be taught by anyone else again (1 John 2 : 27).

Lord, my mistake is I often spend my time on wordly things such as hanging out with my friends and enjoying my hobbies. I rarely spare time to be alone with You, as the bible says, so that I enter my room, lock the door, and pray to You (Matthew 6 : 6).

Lord let me enjoy Your word, as Jeremiah who loves Your word so much. He’s able to say in

Jeremiah 15 : 16 :

Your words were found, and I ate them,

And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart;

For I am called by Your name,

O Lord God of hosts.

Lord, teach me to be able to be like David who truly loves Your word, that he’s able to say in

Psalm 119 : 105

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path

Teach me Your ways O Lord, so I could rejoice in You and so Jesus can say to me “I no longer consider you as servants, but friends”. (John 15 : 15).

Holy Spirit teach me to live in Your truth. Teach me Lord, to live in holiness in the midst of this sinful world. Let Your word reminds me I should always try to live a holy life, just like The Holy Father.

God, keep me away from people who distracts me from Jesus Christ. People who want me to return to this evil world. Let me be able to say like David, “You are the only one I desire in my heart.” And “Do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.”
