I WANT TO BE LIKE YOU JESUS

Romans 8 : 29

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Lord, thank you for redeeming me from the hands of the devil. If previously I was a devil follower now I am completely Yours because You have bought me and the price is paid in full (1 Corinthians 6 : 20). The bible says I have become completely yours, so it is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me.

God being completely yours means I have to surrender everything I have, possesions, hopes, dreams, my future, and my personal rights.

God help me... so I can be like You who emptied yourself, taking the form of a servant (Phillipians 2 : 7). Lord, teach me how to humble myself to become a servant, because I feel my self worth is very high. If someone offends me or look down on me. I become angry, I would even hate that person.

God, I really love worldly possesions. It is said You don't have a place to lay your head (Lucas 9 : 58). God, teach me to let go of every worldly possesion I have. Teach me to put everything under Your feet. And from now on, I acknowledge all the things I have is yours and I am merely someone who manage it.

God teach me, the bible says "He comes to serve, not to be served." (Matthew 20 : 28). God, as a human my flesh likes to be served. It feels very happy when people respect me. I like being the center of attention. God teach me to serve other people, teach me to have empathy for poor people, people who suffer hardship, people who are hungry and imprisoned.

Lord, teach me to not choose by myself the place to serve You. My flesh wants to serve You in a luxurious church building with luxurious facilities and an air conditioner. I don't want to serve beggars on the side of the road, homeless people under bridges, or street children on dirty and dusty roads.

God forgive me. Help me who is helpless and live completely in flesh. Teach me to live in the spirit, so I don't follow the desires of flesh.

Step in, Lord. Change my heart, touch me Lord so I can become like You. Oh Jesus Christ, my great and glorious redeemer.

Lord, let your Holy Spirit who dwells in my heart teach me so I can become like You. Holy Spirit, change me. I surrender my body, soul, and spirit. My dreams, desires, and hopes are in Your hands.

I believe God, whoever is in Christ is a new creation : The old has has passed, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5 : 17).

Holy Spirit, teach me to mortify my flesh each day so in the end I can become like Christ. Amen.
