Don’t Embarass Me Lord (March 26, 2024)

DON'T EMBARASS ME LORD

 Lord, forgive me because I often embarass You often. Forgive me who often pretends to love and serve You in front of many people. Even though, I don’t like loving You. I do all of it with hypocrisy. I don’t like serving You when I myself is having trouble. In my heart, I say “How can I serve these people and pray and bless them, when right now my life is full of troubles?”

God, when I am serving You, I also get served by You. I don’t want to have serious problems in my life. I think, if I serve You, You will solve all my problems. I think as Your servant, my life will be happy, all my needs are fulfilled, free from all problems.

But one day, The Holy Spirit show me this bible verse, and He told me to read it again and again... God says this is the person He truly loves, look at his fate. The verse below is the testimony of Apostle Paul. He says

2 Corinthians 11 : 25

Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;

And this verse too :

Romans 8 : 36

For Your sake we are killed all day long;

We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter

The Holy Spirit also reminds me of the fate of some disciples of Jesus.

Andrew – Crucified

Bartholomew – Beaten then crucified

James, Son of Alphaeus – Stoned to death

James, Son of Zebedee – Beheaded

John – Exiled for his faith (after a failed attempt to fry him in a cooking oil). Died of old age

Judas (not Iscariot) – Stoned to death

Matthew – Speared to death

God, I am ashamed of myself, I have been lulled by false teachings all this time which says Jesus Christ and the other martyrs die so us christians who live in these days can live in blessedly. They become martyrs, because they live in the early days of the spread of christianity. And by now, christianity has spread all over the world. As a disciple of Jesus Christ, we have the right to receive God’s promises in our life.

Lord, forgive me for not truly knowing You. Forgive me for believing false teachings about prosperity, which should be accepted as a disciple of Jesus.

God, from now on I promise. I will serve you wholeheartedly. Whatever is my current situation... I promise I will love You more Lord, because You are willing to suffer so I can be free from all my sins. I am only a servant whom You have bought and paid in full.

Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

John 15 : 20.

Jesus Christ loves you and your whole family.
