Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he
is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become
new.

Corinthians 5 : 17
God, I know in me there is nothing good. For there is
a will inside me, but not to do what is good (Romans
7 : 18). My body, soul, and spirit were full of desire and desire to
satisfy my flesh. And I realize Lord, I won’t be able to win against an enemy
from the inside; namely myself and the enemy from outside, satan who is always
whispering in my ear and mind telling me to satisfy my fleshly desires.
Oftentimes, I want to do something good, but instead I
do the opposite. I do what is evil. God, why do I keep doing this? Why do I
keep being defeated by sin that binds me so much?
At night, I seek Your face God. I cry out to You for
help. Help me, Lord. I am a wretched human… Who will help me? Who will deliver
me from this flesh?
Then one night You came to me. You said, “Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians
5 : 17). And You opened my spiritual eyes, then I realized as long
as I am still living in this world, and still living in this sinful body, I
will still fall into sin, but if I am close to You, I will slowly stop doing
those sins.
God, that night You remind me of people in the bible
whose life you changed. Simon, you changed to be Peter (John 1:42); Saul, changed to Paul; Abram turns
into Abraham; Sarai turns into Sara; Jacob turns into Israel. I realize, Lord,
later in Heaven You will give a new name to me (Revelation
2:17).
God, You have made me realize I am a new creation in
You. You have planned my future. You have chosen me to be perfected from day by
day. You formed me for tomorrow, for eternal life in Heaven.
God, from now on I promise to be faithful to You. If I
fall into sin, I will ask forgiveness from You, and will walk again with You.
Lord, Holy Spirit, hold my hand so I can always walk in Your path. Amen.
And do not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what
is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

12 : 2
