YOUR WILL BE DONE FATHER

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts

Isaiah 55 : 8-9

Lord, even though I have walked a long time with You. Until now I have never understood Your plans for my life. I thought if I walk with You then everything in my life would run smoothly. You will intervene in all the problems in my life however, it turns out that what I face is different than what I think. The closer I am to You, the bigger the problems I have to face. And if I think You will intervene in all the problems in my life. It turns out You don’t intervene. You even often make me think, You have left me.

God, You have said, “The temptation You face is not more than what You are able to bear.” (1 Corinthians 10 : 13). But why God, sometimes I feel so hopeless when I am facing problems. I even want to die, because I can’t see a way out from these problems. Every night I flood my bed with tears (Psalm 6 : 7). And You whom I hoped would step in to me, is silent when You see my situation. Then without any signs or notices, You show up and lead me into victory.

God, I understand You want me to be mature even Your word says :

Revelation 3 : 19

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.Therefore be zealous and repent.

I know Father, You want to prepare me so I can live a holy life. A life that pleases You. You prepare me for a life with You in heaven. So I can rule with Jesus in a 1000 year kingdom, so I can be priest and king in Your Kingdom. And the way You do it is through sufferings I have to go through while living in this world. Through suffering You shaped me, So finally I repent and become the person You wanted me to be.

Father, I want to be able to say like Jesus, “If it is possible, let this cup pass from Me” (Matthew 26 : 39). Even though Jesus is afraid of the suffering he has to go through. He also says, “Your Will Be Done, Father.”

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

Holy Spirit, teach me to be like Jesus who was willing to obey until death, to do the will of the Father. Teach me to always say “yes” and “amen” to every command of the Father in my life. Because my duty in this world is to always please Him. Amen.
